I've been trying to upload new tracks to my Soundcloud page from time to time. For anyone interested in the latest sounds happening in my studiolands, there are five new jams from 2012 up there already. March has been particularly productive, especially compared to the lowest of low times as the end of Winter grinds most enthusiasm to a halt. This year I've fared better than any recent year in memory though. How has your experience been this year? Do things feel at least a little brighter?

I have received news that my new album, "Pest", has gone to production and will likely be available in late March or early April. Clips and streaming will be up as soon as I can find those fkn masters from that hard drive crashy year.

Things have been happening behind the scenes here for the last two weeks as I've been gathering together and organizing these archives of materials - and dealing with plenty of other things that are probably only tolerable because they afford a good story sometime later. Visible updates soon, friends. Until then, you can always check my Soundcloud page, and Facebook page for other sporadic updates.

As you may have noticed, the site is being completely redesigned and reprogrammed. I don't know how many frustrating websites I've made at this point, but I've sure had a lot of fun doing this one so far. While I go about creating the new site, I could put a little Under Construction banner here and you wouldn't see anything - But that seems like the opposite of interesting. Instead, I'm leaving things open so you can watch as it all fills in and breaks and works again and such of suchthings.

There are many features planned and already present here so I've created a little section below to highlight the most recent updates and interesting things I thought deserving of a little extra-special treatment.

Lots of other slick tracks that should work on all yer space devices. For now, the Under Construction bit implies it may not look right/scroll right or play right on Everything but I'm trying. I may have a name that implies two people but there is only one fellow here. Hard at work learning the latest Javascript/CSS/JQuery business in one week.

If you haven't seen the new site yet (welcome!), the soundssection is growing by the day - every release can be streamed in its entirety (except upcoming releases of course). This feature should work on practically any semi-modern device you can throw at it, including your iPhone/iPad/Android (a couple of them I have seen at least).

Most recently, I've been adding content to thesightssection - photo galleries are going up, some videos and drawings I've done. There are also already links to videos by other filmmakers for which I've done sound or music.

 

*I have typically, somewhat mad plans for the amount of content I will be adding to this site. So, given the current state of constant updates - I thought it would be helpful to devote a small section to direct you, my fine friends, towards these many attractions as I add them.

Colorado is a beautiful place to live.

Out and about, wandering around various places I've lived.

Some deliberately aberrant photographs and a selection of those obscure, indistinguishable images that always seem to turn up.

From the moment I was capable, I took to drawing and crafting and any form of creation that was easily accessible to me. And, I also began to archive as much of my creative work as possible. I finally began scanning this massive archive, the earliest drawings are from 1986, when I was four. It's not just a few drawings either, it's hundreds of drawings and books that I wrote from 4-6 years old. After that I began publishing my first 'zines, Whale Wonders and another about the Solar System.

I printed them at our school and put them in the library for free. They also had a laminator and binder to make books with actually laminated covers! It was an incredible thing for me to be able to publish things and I did this for a couple of years before I took to drawing comic books.

Drawing and painting have been the other really meditative, creative things for me as I can draw practically anywhere while music has always had to wait until after school or after work.

Anyhow, I've been scanning all of this stuff and organizing it into galleries.

I've taken thousands of hours of film over the years and never had the software, hardware or time to edit more than a few things in that time. I'm now proud to possess all of the necessary things to do video work now and I intend to take the opportunity to do so.

I did almost all of the music for a short film called The Reunion. It played at the Sundance Film Festival in 2002 and I was able to travel to see it on the somewhat large screen.

Usually too busy hiding in the studio these days to play out much.

Gathering together flyers from past shows and any photos or videos as well. There are unfortunately very few recordings of my hundred or so live performances. I rarely take the time to set 'record-y' things up and even in the event that someone else does, I never seem to get a copy of it. I'm not saying this cynically, ain't no blame here, just talking about the reality of things. If you happen to have any photos, videos or recordings of my performance(s), please get in touch. I'm really looking to have as much documentation as I can so I'd be very grateful for your help.
